My recent expedition through the cultural heartlands of Calicut and Kannur under the guidance of Sruthin has left an indelible mark on my understanding of Kerala's rich heritage. What distinguishes Sruthin from other tour curators is his remarkable ability to combine professional expertise with genuine warmth and adaptability—qualities that transformed what could have been a standard cultural tour into a profound journey of discovery. From the moment our itinerary planning began, Sruthin demonstrated an exceptional willingness to accommodate specific interests and constraints. When ground realities necessitated adjustments, he responded with thoughtful alternatives that maintained the integrity and depth of our cultural experience. This flexibility proved invaluable, particularly when navigating the logistical complexities of arranging exclusive performances and coordinating visits to remote temple complexes with competent local experts. The five-day journey through North Malabar's cultural landscape was meticulously crafted to provide immersive experiences rather than superficial tourist encounters. Our exploration of ancient temple architecture began at Nanjundeshwara Temple, where Sruthin's scholarly insights into the unique exposed laterite construction and round sanctum transformed what might have been a quick visit into a masterclass on Kerala's architectural evolution. Similarly, at Balussery Kotta, his narration of the Kurumbranadu kingdom's history while guiding us through centuries-old murals brought the faded artwork to vibrant life. The sacred groves of Kerala featured prominently in our itinerary, and Sruthin's reverence for these ecological treasures was evident. At Thurayil Bhagavathi Temple, his deep respect for the traditions and spiritual significance of the space enriched our experience. Perhaps most impressive was Sruthin's orchestration of cultural performances. The exclusive Kolkali performance by artistes from the Mappila community was arranged in an intimate setting that allowed for meaningful interactions with the performers. Rather than merely watching, we were invited to understand the historical context of this art form, its evolution, and its significance in contemporary Mappila identity. Similarly, the Bhagawati Theyyam was scheduled at a time that permitted us to witness both the elaborate makeup process and the transcendent performance itself—a photographic opportunity that demonstrated Sruthin's understanding of both cultural authenticity and aesthetic presentation. The judicious inclusion of the Vande Bharat Express journey to Kannur displayed Sruthin's practical wisdom. By selecting this modern transportation option, he reduced our travel time significantly without compromising our cultural immersion, allowing us to experience the Kathakali Learning Center and the dramatic Theyyam performances in a single day. Throughout our journey, Sruthin maintained an impeccable balance between providing information and allowing space for personal discovery. His prompt responses to questions demonstrated his comprehensive knowledge, while his pleasant manner created an atmosphere of intellectual curiosity and cultural respect. The final evening's Kalaripayattu performance exemplified Sruthin's attention to detail. By arranging this martial arts demonstration at an authentic Kalari rather than a touristic venue, he ensured we witnessed the spiritual and philosophical dimensions of this ancient practice alongside its physical prowess. In summary, Sruthin's service transcends conventional tour guidance. His professional approach, underpinned by extensive knowledge and a genuine passion for Kerala's cultural heritage, created a journey that was educational, enjoyable, and deeply meaningful. His ability to adapt to changing circumstances while maintaining consistent quality, along with his pleasant, respectful demeanor, makes him an invaluable companion for anyone seeking to explore the authentic cultural treasures of Kerala. I cannot recommend his services highly enough for travelers who seek depth, authenticity, and excellence in their cultural explorations.

"We called Sruthin and team to plan an evening filled with an assortment of folk dances and martial arts. We got more than what we asked. We ended up witnessing an absolutely mesmerizing and unforgettable evening. A client team of ours from California was treated to a colorful feast of art forms ranging from Kalaripayattu, Thirayattam, Chenda, Panchavadyam and Paavakuthu. Sruthin's lucid narrative highlighted the significance of each art form followed by a captivating display of martial arts, mind blowing costumes, dance forms, music and musical instruments that demonstrated the depth and splendour of what Kerala State had to offer through its myriad art forms that evolved over several thousnads of years. Priceless experience."

Deeply grateful to the Guli team who planned a fantastic tour of North Kerala for me and my family. Even with roots in the state, there was so much we learned and experienced which we could never have done on our own. From staying in beautiful heritage properties to visiting hidden gem heritage sites and getting personal demonstrations from artists / performers, our trip created memories we will cherish for a long time!

"Our recent journey to Kozhikode with Guli Experiences was an absolute delight. We stayed at Harivihar, a breathtaking 150-year-old heritage property that offered the perfect blend of historical charm and modern wellness. With its traditional Kerala architecture, the serene surroundings, and the personalized Ayurvedic and yoga programs, Harivihar became a peaceful sanctuary during our stay. The service was impeccable, allowing us to soak in Kerala’s culture while enjoying the comfort of a royal retreat. The real magic, however, came through the thoughtfully curated experiences by Guli. Sruthin and Amrutha, the heart and soul behind Guli, breathed life into Kozhikode’s rich heritage through their deep knowledge, passion, and enthusiasm. Their love for the region’s stories, culture, and food was infectious, and their warm hospitality ensured our comfort and safety throughout the trip. From watching traditional Thirattam and Kalari performances to exploring the famed uru builders’ yard, every experience was crafted to connect us deeply with Kozhikode’s vibrant traditions. We had the privilege of visiting a 19th-century clay tile manufacturing setup that still uses traditional methods—a rare insight into age-old craftsmanship. Sruthin and Amrutha made these experiences even more enriching by introducing us to the artisans and explaining the significance of their work. Meeting hookah makers, for example, gave us a firsthand look into a trade that has thrived for generations, further deepening our appreciation for local crafts. Another spiritual and cultural highlight was our visit to the sacred grove at the Kottayil Muchukunnu Temple. The atmosphere was peaceful, and with Sruthin’s detailed storytelling, we gained an understanding of the temple’s religious and ecological importance. Every stop on our itinerary reflected Guli’s dedication to offering authentic and meaningful cultural immersion. What made this trip unforgettable were the personal connections we formed. Our conversation with historian Manu Pillai was insightful, while the Sowbharna Sangeetham performance moved us deeply. These interactions went beyond typical sightseeing, giving us a true taste of the people and history that define Kozhikode. In conclusion, Guli Experiences, led by Sruthin and Amrutha, provided more than just a holiday—it was an intimate journey through the cultural fabric of Kozhikode. Each moment was thoughtfully designed, making this trip not only enjoyable but also deeply enriching. If you are looking to explore Kerala in an authentic, heartfelt way, Guli is the perfect guide to take you on that journey."
